I started teaching in Bushland in 2017. I taught Theater Arts for two years, directing shows like The Importance of Being Earnest and Grease. As much as I loved directing plays, my passion is teaching English. This year, I am teaching English 1 1-Honors. I love being in Bushland and am grateful for the support of the parents and administration.
Before Bushland, I worked for Miami ISD. Miami is a small district about 80 miles northeast of Amarillo. I taught English 1-4, Speech, and Theater for 4 years before becoming the Principal in Miami. I enjoyed my time in Miami and am thankful for the experience I gained out there.
I have been married to my wife Chantil for 8 years, but we have been together for 11 years. We have a son, Shain, who is in 5th grade here in Bushland. I also have 2 older boys. Hayden is in 10th grade at Hereford High School, and Erich who is 22.
I love reading, though there is never enough time for it. I also enjoy Texas Rangers and Amarillo Sod Poodles Baseball. My boys and I enjoy playing golf, so we try to do that as much as possible. I have recently taken up sewing thanks to COVID-19. I look forward to a great school year every year, and feel that I have been blessed in all areas of my life.
