I began my teaching and coaching journey in Idalou, Texas and have worked in various places including Tulia, Happy, Tascosa, and West Plains High Schools. I have taught all high school history classes and PE at various levels. I have coached as an assistant and head levels throughout my career and have loved every single place God led my family and I to. Bushland has always been somewhere we knew would be great for our family, and it already feels like home. 

Benton and I have been married since 2016. We met in 2011 when we both entered an essay contest for college freshmen and won a free educational trip to Honduras. Pay attention in writing class, kids. 

We are blessed with a daughter, Elizabeth Scout. She goes by Scout and is 15 months old. 

Two dogs run our back yard, Bo the German Shepard and Ruby the Pug. Ruby wears the pants.
