English I Pre-AP/English III AP/Cheer Coach
As an Amarillo native, I went to Randall High School and graduated in 2009.
After that, I ran up the road to West Texas A&M to major in theatre education. The day before freshman year started, I changed my major to Speech education. By the time I graduated, I was able to double major in both Speech and Education because I had so many overlapping classes!
I student taught at Tascosa High School in the Speech classroom, and when I graudated college, I was certified to teach Speech, Theatre, and English. Speech was my first love, but I am LOVING this English gig!
Upon graduation from college, I was the campus missionary intern at the Baptist Student Ministry for one year. Then, my husband and I moved to Perryton to teach at the High School. I taught Speech and Debate for two years as well as English II.
I moved back to Amarillo, and have been teaching at Bushland High School for 3 years as the English I Pre-AP and English III AP teacher. I am also the Cheer Coach.
My husband of six years, Levi, is my best friend and my rock. We just recently added our precious tiny girl, Piper, to the mix, and our house is a lot more intersting for it!
Currently, we have no pets, but we’re on the look out for Piper’s new best friend – a black lab named Remy!
