ANNUAL WEST TEXAS SPEECH & DEBATE CO-OP
July 25-27 (Monday thru Wednesday), 2022 at Amarillo High School
9am-12:15pm and 1:30pm-4pm

Come work on your events for the next year. It’s FREE! Plus, many coaches from the area and the WT Forensics Team and Methods Course will be on hand to help you prepare for an amazing year of speech and debate.

Interp (Prose, Poetry, HI, DI, Duet, Duo and POI)—Come find selections for the UIL categories as well as prepare for TFA and NSDA events. We will focus on selection, cutting, intros and performance.

Congressional Debate—Focus will be on writing legislation to be submitted throughout the year as well as research and preparation for the TFA Fall docket. Students should leave with two items of legislation ready to submit for the UIL docket in September.

Debate—
LD—Focus will be on values, criteria, philosophy & prepping arguments for the 10 NSDA potential topics.
CX—Focus will be on writing Aff cases. Those who have written cases at a previous camp can choose to work on prepping negative arguments

Extemp—We will have a session devoted to extemp strategies. You will be able to leave what you have been working on to attend this session.

Oratory/Informative—Come spend time working on your speeches and getting input from others.
